Study on Dynamic Response Characteristics of Stepped Reinforced Retaining Wall

In order to further explore the influence of reinforcement materials laying position on dynamic characteristics reinforced retaining walls, based FLAC3D finite difference methods for solving nonlinear problems, established with same size wall in practical engineering, material’s relative normalized processing, under seismic load, and panel conditions different arrangement were analyzed, horizontal displacement slope, vertical earth pressures behind wall, distribution potential sliding surface calculated. The relationship between maximum was fitted by MATLAB. results show that is about 40% smaller when upper layer arranged than lower step 1, 2 30% other at top slope. 1 can minimize displacement. pressure are 19% 5% those near middle step. 2, not obvious, two controlled within 5%. At time, soil liquefaction uplift occur action earthquake. crack has no obvious regularity reinforcement, but classification obviously better conditions. fitting formula describe well. conclusions provide a point reference engineering.
